In the menu that appears, find the Adobe Flash Player plugin.
Right-click on it.
Select "Delete".

Now you can proceed directly to installing the new software. This is also done simply:

Go to the installation file download site.
On the left side, select your operating system version.
On the right side, click the “Download” button.
Wait until the file is downloaded.
Open the folder with the downloaded installer in Explorer.

You most likely encountered the situation itself when playing online videos through a flash player (for example, this is used in VKontakte, can be used on YouTube, depending on the settings).

In total, two ways to correct the situation will be considered: the first is suitable for users of Google Chrome, Opera, Mozilla Firefox, and the second is for those who see a green screen instead of video in Internet Explorer.

Fixing a green screen when watching online videos

So, the first way to fix the problem, which is suitable for almost all browsers, is to disable hardware acceleration for the Flash player.

How to do it:

Right-click on the video that shows a green screen instead.
Select the menu item “Settings”
Uncheck (Enable hardware acceleration)

Additionally, there are complaints that nothing helps solve the problem for users who have AMD Quick Stream installed (and have to remove it). Some reviews also indicate that the problem may occur when Hyper-V virtual machines are running.

What to do in Internet Explorer

If the problem described when watching a video occurs in Internet Explorer, you can remove the green screen using the following steps:

Go to settings (Internet Options)
Open the “Advanced” item and at the end of the list, in the “Graphics acceleration” item, enable software rendering (i.e. check the box).

Now let's learn how to make our own. For these purposes, you can use a phone or tablet with the VKontakte application installed.

Open the application and go to the “News” section on your page. At the top left you will see a button in the form of a camera - click on it.

After this, the image from the camera and the following buttons will be displayed on the screen of your phone or tablet:

Here you can make sure that all the Stories that you add to VKontakte are saved on your phone or tablet. If the switch is in the left position, then all photos and videos on the device will not be saved, and when it is deleted from the VKontakte page, you will no longer be able to view the pictures.

Just below, in the “General” section, you can save the broadcast for 24 hours, publish it on the wall and enable animated stickers.

The green screen problem when watching videos first appeared in 2010. The reason for its occurrence is most likely the incompatibility of the video driver and Adobe Flash player. Over the past 5 years, neither video card developers nor the creators of Adobe Flash Player have solved the problem, so if your video is green when watching, you will have to fix it yourself.

Disabling hardware acceleration

The easiest way to remove the green screen when playing videos on Odnoklassniki, VKontakte or YouTube is to disable hardware acceleration.

If none of the methods help, then the problem most likely does not lie in the Flash player. Launch any video file on your computer (not on the Internet). If the green color appears in all videos, then download new codecs to your computer or use a player with built-in codecs.

How to add a photo to History

If you created a Story using the method described above, and now want to post not one, but several photos or videos, then do the following.

Click on the “Camera” button again, which is displayed in the News. Or you can click on the round button with a plus sign.

Take a photo or record a video. We figured out the photo in the first point, now I’ll tell you about the video. Select the desired section below - “Video story”. Next, press the button in the center and start shooting.

If you complete it in less than 15 seconds, press the button again to stop recording. You can use the time to the maximum and after 15 seconds the recording will end automatically.

Next, a window like this will appear. It will play the recording you made.

At the top right there is a picture of a speaker. If it is like in the screenshot, then the video will be added with sound, and if you click on it, it will be crossed out and the video will be added without sound. There are also buttons for editing at the top.

Below are the usual buttons for saving and publishing. We examined them in the previous paragraph.

If desired, tag a friend to whom you want to send the video you took as a personal message, and click the “Send” button.

Now in News, click on your Story.

If none of the above methods helped, then Flash Player most likely has nothing to do with it. Check if the green color appears when watching a video not over the Internet . If it appears, download and install codecs (for example, CCCP) or use a player with built-in codecs (for example, VLC). If a green screen appears even in VLC player and/or after installing codecs, then the problem is in the video driver or auxiliary drivers.
