That's all. In fact, everything is much simpler than it seems. Quite often, users wonder why music is not saved in VK. Instead, as already mentioned, it is recommended to simply find a way to save and download audio recordings directly to the gadget.
If the quality settings found in the source file are no better than your default quality settings, then the "Use quality settings from source image" option will be available, but will not be enabled. Selective sync in the desktop app allows you to select specific folders to sync to your computer and exclude others from syncing.
Selective sync allows you to store only the files you need on a specific computer. We open the folders one by one (if the system is installed on the disk and default folders): System disk (usually drive C:) -> Windows -> System32 -> Drivers -> etc
(note that in the address bar in the picture the same path is written, underlined with a red line).
Most likely, immediately after opening the etc folder you will not see anything. This is correct, this is how it should be. Please note in the lower right corner there is a list surrounded by a red line. Now you should see Text documents (*.txt) there.
And if, with this choice, you see the hosts file (hosts.txt) in the file list window, this is most likely the work of a virus, it is better to delete it.
Use selective sync
Folders marked with a checkmark are synchronized on your computer. Uncheck the boxes next to folders that you don't want to sync to your computer's hard drive. Selective Sync: Selective sync allows you to choose which files appear in your File Explorer and which are only accessible through the site. You can use both functions at the same time or choose one of them.
Conflicts in selective synchronization with more advanced solutions
However, if a folder with the same name is created in the same location where an unsynced folder was stored, the new folder appears as a gray circle and a minus sign. If you resume syncing an old folder with the same name using the Selective Sync settings, the new folder and its contents will appear with the old folder with the name of the new folder containing the attachment. The shared folder will still sync across other user accounts in that folder. If you want to remove yourself from the shared folder, you can use.
File attributes
Open the folder with the file. Let us remind you that it is usually located at C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc. Don’t rush to open it and make changes, first right-click on the file and select “Properties”.
At the bottom of the “general” tab there is a “Read Only” option.
If it is checked, you will not be able to save the changes. Windows will offer to save hosts as a text file. Even if you specify the correct option “all files,” the computer will ignore the user’s wishes and a useless text file will appear in the folder. Therefore, be sure to uncheck the box, and only then edit the file.
Changing the Read Only attribute is a required step. Unfortunately, this solution is sometimes not enough.
