It is possible that the site does not load the image due to a problem with the browser. The simplest solution is to log into VK from another Internet browser and try to repeat the procedure in it. If everything worked, then the reason is definitely in the browser. It is necessary to check and restore the program:

The next step is to check for a new version of the program and update it. It is important that you always have the latest version of the browser installed on your computer.

Visit the settings and check that images are enabled (the function is used to save traffic), as well as JavaScript support.

Clear cache. To go to this settings item, you can use the combination Ctrl+Shift+Del. In the window that opens, select “cookies” and other data saved in the cache. Next, decide on the time interval and click “Delete data”.

The last option is to uninstall and reinstall the browser. An alternative option is to switch to another Internet browser.

Clear cookies and cache in your browser

Clearing cache and cookies is very easy. To do this, in your browser, press the key combination CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE, after which a small window will appear. Check the boxes next to the required items, select the time for which you want to delete data (for example, all time) and click “Delete”.

Be careful - when clearing cookies, deauthorization occurs on all sites, so you will have to authorize them again.

Why don't photos load on VKontakte?

Let's look at the main reasons why photos are not uploaded to VK:

Outdated Flash Player . To view photos and videos in a message, you use the Adobe Flash Player built into your browser. Periodically, the development company releases updates. If you have an old version of this program, this may be the cause of problems with uploading photos to VK.

Browser conflict . Some browsers do not interact well with VK.
Very slow connection speed. If your Internet connection speed is below 32 kbps, uploading photos to VK may be limited.
Using an insecure connection . When you upload photos to a site, hackers can connect to your computer and steal your personal information. If the VK site administration suspects that your page is being used by hackers, the ability to upload photos may be limited.
Restriction on uploading photos . Before uploading, make sure that the photo weighs less than 25 megabytes and has a JPG, PNG or GIF extension.
Problems with VK itself . Periodically, the site undergoes technical work, during which some functionality of the site may be limited. In this case, you just need to wait until the work on the site stops and all functionality becomes available again.

Synchronize time on your computer

I found some unusual advice that, oddly enough, helps many. You need to synchronize the time with the network. To do this, click on the clock and a window will appear. In the window, select the “Internet time” tab - “Change settings”. Here, check the box next to “Synchronize with an Internet time server,” select the server and click the “Update now” button.

What should the user do if, when trying to add a photo or picture, a message appears on the screen: “Failed to upload image” to VK?

First of all, you need to make sure that the image resolution is within acceptable limits. On the social network, in the help section, you can find information that the minimum image resolution must be at least 200x200 pixels, and the maximum must not exceed the sum of the width and height of the image by more than 14,000 pixels. As practice has shown, the minimum size limit no longer applies, that is, the user can upload small pictures, but the limit on large pictures remains in force. Therefore, you need to make sure that the permission is within the limits of what is permitted. To do this you need:
Right-click on it, thereby calling up the context menu;
Open "Properties";
Go to the “Details” tab;

If the image exceeds the established limits, it must be reduced. This can be done using any graphic editor. Both Photoshop and the pre-installed Windows Paint are suitable for these purposes.

As for the size of the image, it should not exceed 25 megabytes. If the image weighs more, a corresponding notification will appear when loading it;

If the image format is not included in the list of permitted ones, then VKontakte simply will not allow you to upload such an image. It will not appear in the list of available files. To change the format, you can use a graphic editor;

If the format, size and resolution of the image are within acceptable limits, then most likely the problem lies in a poor Internet connection, or in technical problems on the VKontakte servers. In the first case, you need to try rebooting the router, and in the second, be patient and wait for technical support to fix the problems on the servers.

The likelihood that the user will return to the application is low, so it is better to remove him from the contact list. A user's WhatsApp avatar cannot be viewed if the user does not want to. You can ask him in a personal message to change his privacy settings or add him to your contact list. It is possible that he deleted your number by mistake.

First, check whether the photos you want to upload meet the requirements of the social network. The fact is that the VKontakte network supports a limited number of formats (JPG, PNG, GIF), in addition, the maximum size of an uploaded photo is 5 MB. If the photos you want to upload do not meet these requirements, you will need to resave them in the desired format and/or reduce their size.
