How to find out who voted in an anonymous poll. How to easily create a poll or vote in VK on your page, in a conversation and in a group? Boosting surveys for community administrators

Rostelecom TV

Surveys are an addition to various records, but they can also be a separate element - without any text or graphic additions.

You can create a survey in a post on your page or in a post in a community (if you have administrator rights) within the VKontakte social network. To do this, click in the field to create a record. An “Attach” button appears under the post; when you hover over it with the mouse, a drop-down menu appears.

In this menu, hover your mouse over “Other” and the entire list of additional elements appears. Point to “Poll” and left-click.

New fields for creating a survey have appeared under the post. In the first field, create a question for the survey. The question can be absolutely anything, it is created entirely at your discretion.

Below are possible answers. You can specify as many answers as you wish. To add the number of answers, click “Add option”.

Below we determine whether the survey will be anonymous - only the number of answers for each question will be shown, or whether this voting will be open - under each answer option the users who voted for this answer will be visible. People are usually more willing to respond to anonymous voting, but it all depends on the question. On the other hand, it is always interesting to see who voted for what.

Consider, for example, a ready-made survey.

An image is often added on top; a colorful survey attracts more attention. Under the picture there is a survey question, in this case - “How many fingers do you need to type on the keyboard?” To the right of the question, anonymity is indicated - open or anonymous voting, in our case - open. Below are the answer options, in this example there are six of them. And at the very bottom the number of users who voted in this survey is indicated.

To see the results of the survey, you need to vote, that is, check the box in the option that you consider most acceptable for yourself. Click on any of the answer options and the survey result opens.

If you are interested in finding out those who voted for a certain issue, hover your mouse over the statistics of this issue (blue line) and a window appears with avatars of the users who voted. If the voting is anonymous, the users will not be shown.

To see all users, click on “voted.... person" (above user avatars in the window that appears).

This departure from the creation of the survey was necessary to take a closer look at what open voting provides.

In general terms, the survey has already been created, but you can immediately see how elements are added to the survey.

The method of anonymous voting is used to allow participants in a collective discussion to feel safe being in a group, and most importantly: to learn to take creative risks. This method is useful for those groups in which disputes or even conflicts often arise, and on personal grounds.

To begin with, of course, the start of a brainstorming session is announced: a question is put on the agenda and then all group members begin to generate their ideas, making notes so that the author cannot be easily recognized by handwriting - that is, they type the text on a computer or laptop.

It is better to conduct such brainstorming in a place that we will call the “computer lab”. At the very least, there should be enough computers so that each participant in the discussion (even if waiting his turn) can express his thoughts using a typing keyboard.

Then the ideas are printed out (one idea per sheet) and placed in a common folder.

In the anonymous voting method we describe, group members must confidentially select their favorite ideas from a pool of 30 to 300 ideas, rating each one and ranking them in descending order of importance. Each participant's personal list of ideas should contain approximately 5 to 9 items (10-15% of the number of ideas on the list).

Participants write down each selected idea on a separate card, indicating its serial number and ranking it with the letters 'A', 'B', 'C', etc. All cards are then collected and shuffled by a facilitator, who analyzes the results of the anonymous vote based on the number of cards.

This may seem strange, but such a simple nuance as maintaining anonymity gives a lot in terms of saving truly valuable ideas and weeding out ideas that can be conditionally called “so-so” ideas. We sometimes don’t even imagine how much our assessment depends on our personal perception of its author. Even in new, newly assembled groups, a sudden outbreak of sympathy (or, what is much worse, antipathy) can play a fatal role, affecting the quality of work, the quality of objective discussion... The human psyche has such a unique property that we become able to directly, physically “not see” ", "not to hear" and "not to understand" the words addressed to us, arguments and any information that comes from the lips of a person we do not like.

And vice versa: we, having recognized a colleague as “our own” person in a sense, begin to introject incoming information: that is, swallow everything he says without thinking, chewing, without criticism and analysis.

This method of “testing yourself for lice” is especially indispensable for bosses who work in conjunction with their subordinates and also generate ideas along with them.

It is rare that a team turns out to be democratic, free from hierarchical relationships - in general, few employees are able to criticize their superiors. If government agencies survive, then such relationships, transferred to business, can threaten the death of the business. However, if both authorship and evaluation are equally anonymous, then criticism and praise begin to be perceived as the “voice of the people,” which is, if you remember, the “voice of God”... no one leaves offended, but everyone wonders why this or that the idea received one or another number of votes.

Are you planning to register on the VKontakte social network in order to create a community on this site and actively promote your business or promote your own resource? Perhaps you already have an account and even a group here, but you are still a novice Internet user and have not had time to understand some of the features of the interface of this “social network”.

In any case, you need to know how to vote on VKontakte and what benefits it can bring. After reading this article, you will be convinced of the effectiveness of surveys. So, first things first.

How to vote on VKontakte?

In the first case, any respondent will be able to obtain information about other participants by visiting their page on this social network. In the second case there will be no such opportunity.

If you don’t know how to make an anonymous vote on VKontakte, then in fact everything is extremely simple - check the appropriate box. You can find it under the answer options.

How effective is voting?

  • Firstly, the topic must be appropriate. This means that if a group is dedicated to floristry or decoupage, then its participants are unlikely to be interested in anything from technological progress, and gamers are unlikely to vote for handicrafts and cooking.
  • The second stage is registration. If possible, it is better to add pictures to the survey, as this will attract more attention to it. It’s also worth thinking about your answer options in advance.
  • And the last, but not the most significant aspect is anonymity. Many visitors do not want to reveal their identity, so in some questions you need to check a special box, which will help avoid unwanted consequences.

Why create surveys?

Imagine a situation where your blog traffic starts to drop. However, you don’t know why this happens. It seems that you write interesting articles, add high-quality videos, adhere to the rules of SEO optimization, but visitors run away.

Perhaps the whole point is that you need to communicate more with your readers, at least sometimes asking for their opinion about your resource. Perhaps the reason for the drop in traffic lies, for example, in a boring blog design. This is where surveys can help you. You already know how to vote on VKontakte, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity.

At the same time, you must correctly compose answer options, taking into account the interests of your audience, age and gender. Remember that ideally the interviewee should give a clear answer, and not something like: “I can’t decide.” It is also recommended that you attach an image to your survey.

How to create a poll in a VKontakte group

But surveys are still most often needed by groups. They can be a good promotion tool, especially if you use them skillfully. Voting, for example, makes it possible to hold competitions and determine winners. Or choose which article/book/game will be translated next. Such publics are very popular because participants are involved in the active life of the community.

But not everyone knows that for some communities, not only the owner or administrator, but also a simple group member can create a survey: on the wall. Of course, if it is generally allowed to add any records there.

Technically, everything is quite simple: you again select additional options, and among them is a survey.

Then everything follows the already described algorithm. Again, no one bothers you to add an image, music or file.

If you wish and if the group owner does not mind, you can pin the survey in the community header. To do this, just click on the ellipsis at the top right and select the appropriate option.

Some argue that the most effective option is to post votes in the discussion section. This is very easy to do: on the wall of your VKontakte group you need to find and click the “add discussion” button. But keep in mind that some groups close discussions: in this case, you will not be able to add a poll.

If this is your VKontakte group, then click on the “community management” function located under the group photo on the right. “discussion” section we need will be highlighted in the list of sections

it is located below.
Click on it and select the “open” function.
If you need to close discussions so that no one but you can add them, then select the
“restricted” option.
Next, you need to create a topic for our VK survey. On the voting window that appears, click the “attach” button.

located in the lower corner, and then
“poll”,
after which we come up with and write down its title.
It is also necessary to add answer options, as happens, for example, on ballot papers with a list of candidates. Once all the adjustments and corrections are complete, you can click “create themes”
, and you’re done!

As a rule, administrators and group owners have this ability. If it is the creator who adds the survey, then he has the right to choose on whose behalf to publish it: the community or his own.

If you have a website, then you can also post your survey from VK on it too. To do this, you will need to click the “get code”

, then in the window that appears immediately after clicking the button, copy the HTML code that appears, which you can paste into the page of your site.

As you can see, it's not difficult to figure it out. And it actually takes a minimum of time, just a couple of clicks.

Why are polls interesting?

Thanks to polls on the social network VKontakte, you can simply be curious about which of your friends acted in a certain life or everyday situation, and the like. Also, using this simple method of obtaining different points of view on the same question or problem, each of us has the opportunity to survey a large number of users of the VKontakte site if he needs to choose a certain product (every person sometimes has difficulties choosing a model and brand) or service. You can also simply ask your friends for their opinion on which restaurant or pizzeria is best to go to in your city. For all this you do not need to spend a lot of time and effort. By the way, if you want as many of your friends as possible to take part in your survey, we recommend that you read our article “How to make a survey in VKontakte?” It is worth noting that now a fairly large number of VK users have begun to actively take an interest in the question of how to view the results of a VKontakte survey. In fact, this is what we would like to talk about in our article today.

How can I view voting statistics?

Owners and administrators of public sites add surveys for a reason, but for a specific purpose. For example, they want to find out who liked a certain product the most and collect marketing data.

Then the “Show graph” button will appear. Just click to see how the voting proceeded chronologically. And if you click on the survey, you will be shown a picture by country, city, and age. You can also use a special filter to distribute users in some other way. If the survey was conducted openly (that is, not anonymously), then you will see a specific list.

There is also a button “Distribution of shares”

. Everything is shown there as a percentage. In general, studying voting statistics is very useful. It allows you to check whether there were any attempts to invert the survey in a specific direction. For example, this guarantees fair victory in various competitions.

Create a vote

Well, now let's get down to practice. In order for us to bring this to life, we need to do several manipulations. But we will look at each case separately.

Own page

If you are interested in the opinion of your friends or subscribers, then the best thing to do is to post the vote directly on the wall of your page. And it's very easy to do.

And after that, a nice poll will appear on your wall, in which any of your friends, subscribers, and even visiting guests can participate.

Conversation

Surely many of you sit in thematic dialogues on VK, where there are a couple of dozen people. So, you can also create a poll on VK in a conversation to find out the opinions of people who are in the same dialogue with you.

To do this, just select the paperclip icon (Attach) in the field in which you write messages, and then click on “Poll”. After this, we follow the above scheme and send a message.

But just keep this in mind. This trick only works in conversations. In dialogues consisting of both you and one interlocutor, this will not work. And there is no point in this even if there is only one respondent.

Group

Well, lastly, we will look at creating polls in VK groups or public pages. In principle, there is nothing new here. According to the classics, we look for a text string, select “More” and look for the word “Poll”. But then you know what to do.

But I would like to recommend something to you. To prevent your VKontakte vote from getting lost among a bunch of other posts, pin it to the top of the group. Then it will always be visible to users and you will be able to reach a larger number of participants.

Now all you have to do is refresh the page or simply re-enter the group. You will see that the voting post is at the very top, right under the community name.

As you can see, there is nothing complicated. Now you can find out the opinions of people around you at any time.

Group discussions

Now you can refresh the page or simply re-visit the community home page and you will see that what you just created is now hanging at the top of the community. Now any participant will see this and be able to vote.

In exactly the same way, by clicking on the three dots on the main page, you can close, remove the survey, or go to the topic itself. A VERY convenient and useful feature.

How to re-vote on VKontakte?

You won't be able to change your voice through the regular interface. But mobile clients provide this opportunity, as well as an embedded survey widget. So, in the iOS version you just need to select a different option. And if you want to completely cancel your participation, click again on what you previously voted for. With the Android application, you need to make a long tap on the survey. Windows Phone also allows you to recall your vote: just click again, and it doesn’t matter which answer option.

Changing your mind on the desktop version is more difficult, but possible. A “Get Code” button appears next to the survey after it is published. It is needed to insert a survey on another page. And at the top right there will be a “re-vote” button. Or you can use the application vk.com/repoll.

Create polls and grow your community with them!

Gathering survey participants

IMPORTANT : Before we start collecting survey participants, we need to vote in the selected surveys ourselves. You must vote under the account under which you are logged in to TargetHunter. If we find a poll whose voting period has expired, we can immediately collect data from it, even if we haven’t voted ourselves.

After voting, we move on to collecting survey participants. We work in the Activities tab > By object > Polls .

Here, in the input data, enter links to saved posts with surveys, click Select answer options .

Loading links of posts with surveys

In the window that opens, select answer options that will uniquely characterize cat owners.

Selecting and saving the desired answer options in surveys

In our case, any answer option characterizes a person as a cat owner. Mark all options and click Apply .

Now we see that the links to posts with surveys we entered have changed. We give a clear name to the task and launch it.

Collecting survey participants who have already answered

At this stage, we found and stored all the answers available at the time of data collection and collected the users who selected these answers.

But the TargetHunter parser gives us the opportunity to automate further collection of survey results. Let's move on to the next step.
