We can make the wall completely closed to prying eyes, or we can limit certain types of materials and records. In any case, everything is done using privacy settings. Let's move on to this section. Adding wall posts just for friends
There is a new feature. You can post posts to your wall so that they are only available to your friends. Other users will not be able to view them.

From computer

How to completely block viewing of your wall
This feature is only available for communities and public pages. In the group settings, the value is set to “Group type – closed or private by invitation.”
It is impossible to completely block access to an individual user’s wall. At a minimum, strangers will be able to see your records.
But there are two more ways to further restrict access.
- “Who can see my page on the Internet” is an item located in the last list of settings - “Other”. Set access only to registered VK users and no materials (including the wall) will be available when moving from search engines and third-party sites.
- “What updates do my friends see in the news?” If you set “section updates only,” then your new materials will not appear in your friends’ news feed.
What is it for?
Let’s continue to look at what a lock on a record or history in VK means. As we have already said, this is a secret mark, which means that you are included in the circle of people who can see this post. Why is this option needed?
Did you know that your friends and subscribers see all your updates in their news feeds? This means that before you have time to publish a post, your entire contact list will immediately know about it, and even those to whom you yourself are not subscribed (your subscribers)!
