The location can also be determined by indirect signs. For example, find in the list of user groups those that relate to a specific area. You can explore friends' profiles. But, unlike geotagging, these methods are imprecise and require time and lengthy analysis.

And yet, collecting reliable information about VKontakte users is quite difficult. For example, social networks hide data about the IP addresses of their visitors. To get someone's IP , you will have to resort to tricks, for example, motivating the person to send you an email and using special services.

• there should be no difficulties at the stage of obtaining an ID;
• the second stage, luring the victim to a third-party resource using a suspicious link, is the most difficult. • knowing the IP of a VK user’s computer makes it possible to determine his place of residence with a very low degree of probability, especially since the IP is tied to the device, and not to the user.
