Good afternoon friends. How to copy text where it cannot be copied. I mean sites from which text cannot be copied. Users quite often have to search for information on the Internet in order to copy it later. For example, a recipe for cooking a dish, or you need to do something step by step. Also, if the text contains words in a foreign language, or simply words that are difficult to remember, then the easiest way is to copy part of the text and then paste it where you need it.
Why don't webmasters allow you to copy the text?
Of course, readers really don’t like this behavior from a blogger. But site owners prevent their texts from being copied not from their readers, but from their colleagues, other webmasters. And this happens so that the text remains unique. Otherwise, unscrupulous webmasters begin to copy your articles, paste them onto their sites, and at the same time even forget to add a link to your site.
This is bad for website promotion. So various plugins and scripts have been created that prevent people from copying text. A few years ago, I decided to check my articles for uniqueness, and discovered that most of my articles were not unique. I decided to check where copies of my articles are located through a special program.
Imagine my surprise when almost all of these articles were on just one site. And everything is just like mine, starting with pictures and ending with text. Moreover, there were no links to the original source. And it is necessary! I give permission to copy my articles. But, with a MANDATORY link to my website. Then I talked with the owner of the site where I found my articles and we resolved this issue peacefully (she put links to my site).
How to use an online service to copy text from an image
The technology that will help us copy the inscription from a picture is called “OCR” (“Optical Character Recognition”). The first patent for optical text recognition was issued in Germany back in 1929. Since then, science has made great strides forward, and the quality of text recognition has increased significantly. For example, in the case of Latin characters, the recognition quality can reach 99% of all text. In the case of the Cyrillic alphabet, this percentage is somewhat lower, which is explained by the “Latin” accent of most modern services and programs.
Effective text recognition is possible if there is a clear image where all letters are visually separated from one another. In the case of a “cluttered” image, in which the letters are connected to each other and have an ornate character, recognition will be of poor quality. In some cases, you will get no result at all.
Working with such services is simple:
- You go to such a resource and upload an image with text to it.
- Specify the language in which the text on the image is written.
- If available on the resource, select the part of the image on which the desired text is located.
- Then you run the recognition procedure online, and usually within a couple of seconds you get the result.
Let's look at the services that allow you to select text from a graphic image online.
Print function
Let's remember my yesterday's article, with its hot keys for copying and pasting text. Press CTRL+P , so we’ll try to use your browser’s print function. For the most part, this function is not protected, so you can copy the desired content without any problems. I will show this action in Yandex Browser.
This browser feature broke the article on my site into a series of sheets ready for printing. So, in the window that appears again, select the desired fragment. In the screenshot, the selected area is indicated in blue. So, to copy, press CTRL+C , this part of the text is sent to the clipboard. Then, place the cursor over the desired part of the sheet and press CTRL+V .
Our text has been copied. The method is working. Although, my site has one of the strongest copy protections.
How to highlight text on Android
We will need any application with information (text, graphic).
For example, let’s open a page on Android on THIS same site where you are now. Touch the screen in the text or picture area and do not release your finger until the sliders (limiters) for selecting the text appear (long press or long tap).
If you hold your finger on any word, for example, on the word “Master” (1 in Fig. 1), then the word “Master” will be highlighted on the screen. Along with the sliders, a top panel for working with text will appear (2 in Fig. 1).
Rice. 1. Open the text and hold your finger until the sliders appear
First, you should select the text for later copying. To do this, you need to pull the second (right) slider down (5 in Fig. 2). Thus, the second slider can be moved to the end of the paragraph or to the end of the text. The required part of the text will be highlighted.
On Android there is a “Select All” button (3 in Fig. 2) in order to select everything that is open on the screen. For example, on my website, after clicking on “Select all”, not only the text of the article will be selected, but also all comments, all sections, etc.
Rice. 2. Text is highlighted. Buttons Copy, Share, Select all, Search
The context menu knows what you can do with the selected text
After the text (partially or entirely) with or without pictures has been selected, the top context menu will show you what options there are for further work with the selected information:
1 in Fig. 2 – the “Copy” button allows you to copy text on Android (with pictures, if available) and automatically place the text on the clipboard.
2 in Fig. 2 – the “Share” button helps you quickly find the application and automatically place the selected text with pictures in it, if any.
3 in Fig. 2 – the “Select All” button selects everything that is there.
6 in Fig. 2 – the “Search” button automatically searches the selected text on the Internet through the Google service.
How to move selected text
How can we place the selected text where we need it? (By the way, text can only be placed in an application that supports text input.) To do this, you can go in two ways:
- The fastest way is to use the “Share” button. After clicking on it, the selected text will be automatically placed in the desired application.
- the second way (if you drive more quietly, you will continue to drive) is to use the “Copy” button, more on this below.
The shortest way to insert selected text is to use the “Share” button on Android (2 in Fig. 2).
Share button on Android for inserting text
1) As I wrote above, select the text on the screen (all text or part of the text).
2) Press the “Share” button on Android (2 in Fig. 2).
3) A new “Share” panel will open (Fig. 3) and you will be able to select an application to automatically place the previously selected text there.
Rice. 3. Share panel: select an application to insert text
Select an application, for example, “Notes”. Click on the “Notes” button.
4) That’s it, the previously selected text is automatically inserted into “Notes” (Fig. 4):
Rice. 4. Paste selected text into Notes
So, to copy text on Android and then paste it using the “Share” button you will need:
- Select text.
- Click the "Share" button.
- Select an application to insert text. That's it, the text will be automatically inserted.
What should I do if the app I need is not in the Share panel? What other way is there to insert selected text?
This method is well known to those who are familiar with Windows, where it is called copy-paste or “Copy-Paste”. In Windows, there are hotkeys for this: Ctrl+C (copy) and Ctrl+V (paste). In Android, you can also use a similar principle to copy and paste text.
Copy button on Android
1) After the text (with pictures, if any) is selected on the screen, you can click on the “Copy” button on the text on Android (1 in Fig. 2). The text will be copied to the clipboard, but this will not be reflected in any way on the screen until the text is pasted. After that
- go to the desired application,
- there we do a long tap, the “Insert” button will appear,
- Click “Insert”. That's it, the text from the clipboard is placed into the application.
How to copy text on Android and how to paste it
2) We are looking for an application or other object to paste text from the clipboard. For example, on Android you can open “Applications” and select the “Notes” application there (1 in Fig. 5). Or you can go to any other application where you want to paste text that you copied earlier to the clipboard.
Rice. 5. Opened Notes to insert text
In the Notes application (or in another application), you need to make a long tap in the text input field (Fig. 5) in order to
- place the slider in the place where the text will be inserted (thereby indicating the place to insert the text),
- and so that the context menu appears.
As a result, a slider will appear in Notes in the place for inserting text (1 in Fig. 6) and an “Insert” button (2 in Fig. 6), click “Insert”:
Rice. 6. Slider and Insert button in Notes
The text that was previously copied to the clipboard will be pasted. Thus, part of the text that was highlighted on the blog compgramotnost.ru (Fig. 2) has now been moved to the “Notes” application, as shown above in Fig. 4.
About the context menu
If in Android you make a long tap on a blank field to enter text, then a context menu appears with only the “Insert” button. What else can you do in an open field?!
If you make a long tap on the text (and not on a blank space), a context menu will appear with more options (buttons), for example, “Select all”, “Cut”, “Copy”, “Paste”. That's why it's a context menu, to understand what in this specific (contextual) case the user can do with his data, or more precisely, with his text. Android understands this and provides us with such opportunities through the context menu.
Context menu options “Cut”, “Paste”
In the Notes application, make a long tap on the word “Master”. The word will be highlighted and a context menu will appear with 4 options:
- "Select all",
- "Cut out",
- "Copy",
- "Insert".
Click (tap) on “Select all” (Fig. 7):
Rice. 7. Menu: Select All, Cut, Copy, Paste
After tapping on “Select All”, all the text is selected. In this case, the context menu is saved, click on the “Cut” button (1 in Fig. 8).
Rice. 8. The text is selected, you can tap “Cut”
After tapping the “Cut” button, all the text that was selected is deleted. But at the same time it is saved in the clipboard. Moreover, it is saved until new data sent to the clipboard erases it from the clipboard and replaces the old text on the clipboard with new information (Fig. 9).
Rice. 9. Blank field, which means the text is cut out and placed on the Android clipboard
Again, make a long tap at the place where the text is entered (in any application), that is, you need to touch the screen and hold your finger until the slider and the “Insert” menu appear (1 in Fig. 10).
Click on “Insert” (Fig. 10):
Rice. 10. Paste menu to paste text from the clipboard
The text appears from the clipboard, where it was automatically placed after the “Cut” operation (Fig. 11).
Rice. 11. Text pasted from clipboard
Thus, the text should first be selected: partially or all. Selected text can be copied or cut, after which the text will go to the clipboard.
From the clipboard, text can be placed into any application that supports text input. To do this, open the application, make a long tap and click “Insert”. So,
- the text (with pictures, if any) needs to be “Selected”,
- then "Copy" or "Cut"
- open the application and
- "Insert" text.
Please note: Without indicating a link to the source site, information (text, pictures) from most sites can be copied, except perhaps for personal use. In other cases, you must indicate an active link to the source of information. If you post copied text or a picture on the Internet and use it there for any purpose without an active link to the source (website), this may have negative consequences, since copyright is violated.

The application works very simply: first you need to enable its service, which a message will ask you to do when you first launch it.
Everything is now ready to go: on the main Universal Copy screen, move the slider to the “Activated” position and you can go to where you were unable to copy the ill-fated text, notes, another message, etc. from earlier.
Having found the desired text, pull out the system notification shade, where you will see a notification that prompts you to enable universal copy mode.
Click on it, after which a blue frame will appear around the screen with a control panel at the top of the program.

Now all you have to do is select a section of text and copy it to the clipboard:
Also, on the Universal Copy control panel in copy mode, on the right side you will find a button that allows you to hide this panel, leaving only a thin blue frame around the screen, indicating that this mode is activated.

Android supports paste, copy and cut operations just like a regular computer. But, in order to be able to take advantage of these functions, you need to know about the differences. If you still don't know how to copy and paste text on Android, this article is for you.
Turn off JavaScript
This Javascript can be disabled with a special browser add-on “NOScript”. You just need to download it from the add-on database and install it. But, it is better to try to turn off this script manually. Unnecessary extensions slow down the browser.
- I will show this setting in Chrome, since most of the people in the world use it. The text on my site remains blocked. So, you need to go to Chrome settings. To do this, click on the 3 vertical dots and select “Settings” in the drop-down menu;
- In the new window, scroll the page to the very bottom and click on the triangle of the “Advanced” command;
- In the continuation of the page that appears, find the “Site Settings” command and click on it;
- Now look for the JavaScript tab, click on it;
- In the new window, above the “Allowed” command, move the switch to the left. Now we have the inscription “Blocked” in this place;
- All you have to do is refresh the desired page and you can copy the text without restrictions. After this, you need to return everything to its place, otherwise some of the resources will be displayed incorrectly.
This method does not work on all sites. It didn’t work on mine (but the first option did). Apparently, I made a pretty strong blocking plugin famous. But, having gone to other sites, it showed itself to be an excellent way to unblock the first option.
I would like to add that if you have a desire to disable JavaScript permanently for some resources, then we will do the following:
- We go into the same window and after the switch, click on the blue “Block” link;
- “Add” appears on this button, click on it, and in the window that opens, enter the address of the site on which we want to block JavaScript.
- Now on the site from which you removed the JavaScript action, you will always be able to copy as much text as you need. But it is quite possible that some of the functions will not work on this resource until you remove its address from this list.
How to copy a video from the Internet
The order in which video files posted on the Internet are saved depends on the characteristics of these files.
All videos on the Internet can be divided into 2 main types:
– video files intended for viewing on local computers, offered for downloading in the same way as regular files. This video is not available for viewing directly on website pages and is offered for downloading to your local computer. Only after this will it be possible to watch it. The procedure for downloading such video files from the Internet is no different from downloading files of other types (see the next paragraph of this article);
– online video – video intended for viewing directly on website pages without first downloading to the user’s local computer. Examples of such videos can be seen on such well-known sites as YouTube, Megogo, etc.
Online video copy from the Internet
It's hard enough. As a rule, you can watch videos on websites, but you won’t find any links to copying them there. Solving the problem will require the use of additional funds. Descriptions of some of them are given below.
But not every online video from the Internet can be downloaded. To successfully save it on your local computer, you need to know the Internet address of this video. Please note that the address of the website page on which the video is posted and the address of the video itself are two different things. Many sites hide this address, making copying the video almost impossible.
At the same time, video hosting sites, such as YouTube and many others, do not hide the address of the video posted on them.
You can find out the video address as follows:
– open the website page on which the online video is posted for viewing;
– start the video, waiting for various commercials, etc. to end;
– right-click on the window in which the video is displayed, and in the context menu that opens, select “Copy video URL” or an item with another similar name by left-clicking on it (see figure);
– a small window should appear with the video address. This address can be copied to the Windows clipboard and then pasted anywhere else. The procedure for copying via the clipboard is described in this article above, in the paragraph on copying text information from the network.
There is another way to find out the video address on the YouTube website. You need to open the page with the posted video and click on the “Share” item located under the window with the displayed video. A line with the video address will appear.
Some ways to save online videos on your local computer
:
1 . Using online converters.
An online converter is a special website that offers services for converting files of one format to another. One of the high-quality online converters is the site zamzar.com.
The procedure for working with it is as follows:
– go to the “URL Converter” tab (see figure below);
– in the “Step 1” field, indicate the video address on the Internet (see above);
– in the “Step 2” field, select one of the formats into which the video will be converted (AVI format is suitable in most cases);
– in the “Step 3” field indicate a working email account;
– click the “Convert” button.
After some time, an email will be sent to your email address, which will contain a special hyperlink for downloading. After going through it, you will download the required video file to your local computer in the usual way (see the next paragraph of this article).
Online converters have one significant drawback
– the size of video files saved using them from the Internet is strictly limited. In the case of zamzar.com, you can only download videos whose size does not exceed 100 MB. This restriction can be removed, but only on a paid basis.
2. Using special programs installed on the user’s local computer and performing the same functions as online converters, for example, YoutubeDownloader.
How to unlock a paragraph via F12?
So, on the desired site, press the F12 key. The page of this site is divided into two windows. On the left is our website, on the right is its code. After this, in the corner on the left of the left window you need to select the arrow or simply press the buttons ctrl + shift + c . I show it in Yandex Browser. In other browsers this method works in a similar way.
The paragraph that we have highlighted with an arrow takes on a blue coloration. Then, we turn our attention to the left column and find the code highlighted in the same color. It will most likely be located between the elements <р>... . Above this code there is a small black triangle, click on it so that one of its ends begins to look down.
After that, between the elements <р>... and the desired part of the text appears, which can be copied via CTRL+C . At first, this method may seem difficult to many. But then you will realize that it is quite simple, and you will begin to use it.
Copy code
4. Press the keyboard shortcut ctrl + U on the desired page. The HTML code of the page will open, where no plugins interfere with copying information. But you don’t need to copy everything, just find the desired section of text. To do this, press ctrl + F to open the search window. Enter a few words from the paragraph you need into it. Press enter or the "find" button to jump to the desired section of the code. Copy the information you need using the ctrl + C keys or right-click on the selected area and select “Copy”.
Open a regular text editor (notepad) and paste the copied text into it (press ctrl + v). As you can see, in addition to the necessary text, we also copied the HTML code, which we do not need and is in the way. You can remove it manually, but again there is no point - there is an easier way.
Go to the File – Save As... section and at the end of the file name replace the .txt extension with .html, then click Save.
Now on your desktop, open a new file using any browser, and the necessary text will be there, without unnecessary html codes and with formatting (bold, italics, lists, etc.).
Copy text using code
So, on the page from which we decided to copy part of the text, we need to click on the CTRL+U . The browser takes you to a new window where you will see the HTML code for this resource. In this window you can copy whatever you want. But, of course, there is no need to make a copy of all the code.
So we need to open the search bar. To do this, press the CTRL+F . Now, at the top of the window you will see a search bar. Read on the website what exactly you wanted to copy. For example, what are “Hot Keys”. So, enter this phrase in this line and press Enter.
After this, these phrases will appear on our page, colored in bright yellow. I have 6 of them. We look through those of them, after which there is a fragment of text we need. Then, simply copy it via CTRL+C and paste it into the desired part of the text via CTRL+V . The job is done, we have copied the fragment of text we need.
Open printable version
1. Press ctrl + P to open the printable version. There is usually no protection in it, and you will be able to copy the information without interference. For example, in Google Chrome the information is displayed in the following form:
Initially, it was not possible to select the text, but when I checked the Simplify page checkbox, everything worked right away.
How to copy text from a website using Word?
Quite a simple and convenient method. But, to use it, it will take some time for the computer to process the request. As a result, a complete copy of this content from the site (with all photos) will appear on the Word page.
So, in the Word document, click on the “File” menu. We have a column where we are interested in the “Open” tab. Click on it and in the right window click on the image of the daddy. Next, a new window pops up, where we are interested in the line “File name”. In it we enter the address of the page that we could not copy, click “Open”.
The computer processes our request for some time (this processing time depends on the power of your computer and the weight of the page that we decided to copy. After a couple of minutes, a complete copy of the page of my website appears in my Word document, on which I have set copy protection.
Word handled this function better than the previous methods. A new document has appeared, the address of which is the address of my page from the site. All you have to do is clear the page of unnecessary elements (for example, banners, Word also copied them), and the text is ready. You can use this text for its intended purpose.

Didn't one of the methods help you copy the text?
Sometimes it happens that these methods do not help. This can happen if the article on the site does not consist of text, but of a large image (picture). In this case, you take and simply copy this image by right-clicking on it and selecting “Save image as...” from the drop-down menu.
If the webmaster has blocked the mouse, you need to create a screenshot of the entire resource from this image. To do this, open the website, press the “ PrintScreen ” button, which is located at the top of the keyboard, and you will create a snapshot of the entire monitor screen.
Then, insert this picture into any graphics editor (you can use Adobe Photosop, Paint, etc.). Then, we cut off all the unnecessary details in the picture and paste it into a special service that can convert the picture with text into text format. Copy this text and paste it into the desired document. You can also install the ABBYY FineReader program, which translates a picture with text into a text editor. I wrote a detailed article about this program: - Text recognition program. Then, using ABBYY FineReader, convert the picture into text and paste it in the right place. Good luck!
Conclusion: - You now know how to copy text where it cannot be copied. All you have to do is apply the one you like the most out of five options. Personally, I liked the fifth option; it copied all the text perfectly, even with pictures. Now the copied text can be used as a teaching aid! Good luck!

How to copy text from a comment
Of course, doing this from a computer is much easier. You just need to open the desired post, select the text and copy it using the usual methods. But what to do if you are on the road and only have your mobile phone at hand? There are a couple of options.
You can go to the post through the web version of Insta on your phone and copy it. If for some reason it is inconvenient to use the browser or you don’t want to, you can use a special bot. It's called @getcombot.
It works the same way as the @instasavegrambot bot; instructions will appear if you write /start to it. You just need to send the bot a message containing a link to the desired post.
You can track it through the task monitor when
the comments
. The link will be in the task queue. Typically it takes approximately 3-10 minutes to process and unload. It all depends on how busy the bot is. The bot sends a monitor of its tasks, so if necessary, you can check the status of your request.
At the end, the bot sends all comments on Instagram that were left under the post and were not deleted.
A great way to collect all the comments at once that will need to be processed on your profile. Helps increase sales and learn how to deal with customer objections if you do this regularly. And if you want to learn how to create interesting content and sell your products through Instagram, then a course from smm.school will help you. There is a lot of interesting stuff there, but we recommend starting with a course on selling on Instagram.
Downloadable programs
Didn't like the basic copying process? Do you have any complaints about limited functionality, convenience, or speed of the procedure? If yes, then you can always use free programs that are distributed through Google Play. The most popular ones are listed below.
Copy to clipboard
This application is suitable for those who often send links to material, rather than individual clippings from the text. For example, it will be very useful for Twitter users. After successful installation, Copy to Clipboard embeds an additional Share button into the toolbar, which is highlighted after text is selected. If you click on this button, you can choose who to send a link to a page in the browser, video or photo. As you can see, the utility is suitable not only for working with text.
CopiPe - Copy and Paste tool, Copy Text and Clipper
These applications are similar in functionality. They are convenient, easy to use, and allow you to use additional options. The only drawback is the lack of translation. The interface and buttons used for copying are in English. However, most modern users will be able to figure it out.
Which is better to choose from the three options presented? Let's look at the statistics on Google Play:
- Clipper – more than a million downloads, overall rating 4.4;
- Copy and Paste tool - although the program was popular before, it is now difficult to find in the application store;
- Copy Text on Screen – more than 500 thousand downloads, rating 3.9, mixed reviews.
The most reliable tool at the moment is Clipper.
aNdClip Free – Clipboard ext
The program is a notebook. After installing the application, everything that the user copies in the standard way automatically ends up not only in the clipboard, but also in this program. The user can sort the information he copied: create records, folders, mark important documents.
aNdClip Free is recommended for those who need to constantly save important links, phone numbers, and passwords. The program weighs only 1.1 MB and has received positive user reviews. The overall score on Google Play is 4.3.
Jinapdf.com – service for high-quality text recognition
The American resource jinapdf.com from Convert Daily LLC is one of the most effective resources for online text recognition. Its purpose is to quickly and efficiently convert files from one format to another. At the same time, the resource can recognize text from an image, recognizes the Latin and Cyrillic alphabet well, supports a Russian-language interface, is free and fast. For copying text from an image online, this resource will be a good choice.
