What to delete from VKontakte so that you don’t get imprisoned? detailed instructions

Theft of VKontakte content or whoever stole it first is right. Perhaps this is a slightly emotional title for the article, but I can’t do it any other way, sorry. Next, you will understand why...

A small digression. After Durov “left” this social network, I, too, somehow gradually began to move away from it and move away from it. Although before, I was there more because of my Internet activities.

Recently, I deleted several of my groups, and one of them could even be sold for a good price. But here’s something, as they say, I freaked out and deleted it))

Quick registration

Once registered, you can ask and answer questions and earn money. Read the rules, we will be glad to see you among our experts!

The same thing that regulates your relationship with the “administration” - VKontakte LLC (TIN 7842349892) and is the legal basis for the functioning of the social network and its interaction with users.

0. So, does this agreement work even without my signature, sealed with blood from my left little finger?

In short - yes :-)

The specified document is a public offer

, i.e.
is a proposal containing all the essential terms of the contract, from which the will of the person making the proposal ( administration
) is seen to conclude an agreement on the terms specified in the proposal with anyone who responds (
user
).

Acceptance of the offer is the registration of the user on the VKontakte network.

From the moment you registered on this network, there was complete and unconditional acceptance

You the terms of the Rules in accordance with Art. 438 Civil Code of the Russian Federation.

Those. Once you have registered on the social network site, it means the agreement is already working for you.

“Content”, according to clause 7.1.1 of the agreement, means “all objects posted on the Site, including design elements, text, graphics, illustrations, videos, scripts, programs, music, sounds and other objects and their selections.”

That is, the concept of “content” includes any objects of copyright (and related) rights that are posted on a social network site.

A little history

Before the arrival of Nemesis, “advanced” public owners knew perfectly well that if they copied content from another Vk page, their post would not have high positions in the search results of, say, Yandex. Because Yandex has already indexed the original text and any repetition will be considered a double. This means there is no point in copying such content to your public page. Well, maybe just so that it flashes once in the subscribers’ news feed. That's all.

Therefore, cunning administrators have long been copying (read, stealing) content not from Vk, but on the Internet. For example, on information sites, and more often on thematic blogs.

Last year I encountered this personally... I’ll tell you how it was...

Encounter with theft on VKontakte

I decided to close one of my sites. It was dedicated only to photography and therefore most of the articles from it would fit very well into the photo section of this site. I decided to remove them from there and move them here.

I wrote and write all the articles exclusively myself. And before publishing, I always check them for uniqueness, achieving 100%.

Imagine my surprise when I checked them again before uploading them here. All articles had 0% uniqueness! And the program showed that the primary sources are several VKontakte groups. One “especially gifted” group managed to steal more than 5 of my articles.

It turns out that at the time of the first publication of these entries, my photo site was naturally the primary source on the Internet. Then these articles were brazenly copied along with the pictures and spread across public pages. And when I removed them from the photo site, the groups where the clones remained were considered the primary source for search engines.

And now, if I publish all my articles here, I can get sanctions from Yandex and Google for unoriginal content.

To begin with, as advised on the forums, I began to write in a polite manner to the group admins with a request to delete individual posts. 2 people apologized and deleted it.

But there were also these answers:

Like this. Someone is writing, trying. But it turns out that stealing content from them is the norm :)

Therefore, after unsuccessful attempts to cope on my own, I had to contact VKontakte support so that they would oblige the public to remove the stolen content. You can't imagine how many nerves it took. Even though I had indisputable proof of authorship, I had to:

  • correspond with support for several weeks
  • send scans and screenshots
  • take a photo with your passport at the monitor
  • verify ownership of my sites
  • and other perversions...

As a result, most of the articles were deleted from vk and later, I was able to publish them here. But several articles remained on VKontakte.

How to make such a message yourself?

Let’s omit the details on the topic “who might need this and why.” Everyone has their own way of having fun. Some people glue ships in a bottle, while others come up with strange codes for bugs in VK.

As they say, demand creates supply. Oddly enough, there are a lot of people who want to know how to make a “content removed” message in VK. However, we have nothing to please them with.

We honestly scoured the first ten pages of Google and Yandex results on the topic “how to make a message, content deleted in VK.” Lots of sites and a lot of wasted time! But we can now confidently say that this is impossible.

On one of the forums we came across a code for “Content removed” in VK and we tested it:

  • Here it is:
  • According to the author, if you paste this code into the message input field and press Enter, the treasured “content removed” will appear in its place in the feed;
  • However, in reality, a simple empty message or the code itself is sent. To be more precise, a beep sounds about a new incoming person, but when checked, the tape turns out to be empty;
  • We tried to check the code in different ways - we sent it in a personal message, in a chat with correspondence, in a group conversation, on the wall. The result is the same everywhere.

We were unable to send the message “content removed” to VK. Thus, we decided to conclude that this task cannot be accomplished. However, we do not discount the possibility that someone in the future will be able to create such code. What if someone who is in the know suddenly wants to make fun of their friends? We will keep our finger on the pulse, stay tuned for updates!

So, let's sum it up! It is impossible to do “content removed” in VK independently and officially. Perhaps it will occur to someone to come up with a code that can make such an inscription, but for this they may get a knock on the head.

Remember why VK says “content removed”? Because a person either violates copyright (that is, does not comply with the terms of the user agreement) or tries to publish extremist materials. The first is fraught with blocking and deletion of the profile, and the second, even criminal prosecution. So why would you attract such unnecessary attention to yourself?

Safe Alternatives

You can play previously downloaded videos and Flash games offline in third-party PC players - this option is implemented, for example, in PotPlayer, although in most cases this is only a side function of such programs. And to view Flash content on the Internet, you will now need a special emulator, which appeared, as CNews reported, in early December 2021 and, according to the developers, is devoid of the shortcomings of the original player.

Pot Player plays the All your base are belong to us video in Flash format

The project is called Ruffle, its code is written in the Rust language, and behind it is a small group of enthusiastic programmers. The Flash emulator can be used as a standalone application on the client side and embedded in web pages using Webassembly technology. Moreover, site owners do not even need to globally adjust the code - it will be enough to install Ruffle on the server and add just one line of HTML code that loads a special library in Javascript to each page that contains Flash content.

What to delete from VKontakte so that you don’t get imprisoned? detailed instructions

In contact with
In Russia, cases are increasingly being brought against users of social networks, mainly VKontakte. Unfortunately, the reality is that a criminal case can be brought against someone who does not have any criminal intentions and just saved a picture that he liked, reposted an entry that he approves of (or vice versa, is outraged by it), or left a comment, who offended someone. Soon, VKontakte will allow you to hide your profile from everyone except friends, but until this happens, go to your page and check if there is anything on it that could get you imprisoned for several years.

What content may be considered illegal?

The Ministry of Justice website published a list of extremist materials, which includes photographs, videos, song lyrics, books, brochures, leaflets, poems, articles from newspapers and magazines, as well as other types of content. It is important to understand that this list is not exhaustive and is being updated. You cannot post or add to your page anything that is contained in it, but any material outside this list may be included in it by court decision. Typically, materials that contain direct or indirect calls for violence, incite hatred, or discriminate against people on any basis are considered extremist.

Remove from your page any content with a negative attitude or ridicule towards religion, its ministers and believers, the Russian military and any categories of people (foreigners, young mothers, children, veterans, gays, homophobes, officials, blacks, Asians, Caucasians , Russians, Jews, dwarfs, disabled people, etc.)

You should get rid of pictures, songs, videos and text entries that endorse terrorism, Nazism, fascism and violence against the categories of persons listed above.

You should not leave content with statements on the crimes of the Russian military in modern wars and armed conflicts of the past, cooperation between the USSR and the Third Reich, attacks on Finland, occupation of neighboring states, violence against civilians and other historical facts that are not recognized by the Russian authorities.

Photographs and videos that depict a swastika (even if these are stills from documentaries or feature films that are not prohibited from showing), as well as symbols revered in Russia (such as the red star, St. George’s ribbon, Christian cross) that are used inappropriately can be considered extremist. purpose. This also includes images of desecrated monuments, shrines and graves.

Particular attention should be paid to content with insults, profanity and threats - it must be removed. You should not leave any information about drugs and methods of suicide, or instructions for making weapons and explosives.

Your videos should not contain videos with insults, threats, humiliating statements and rude language. Be sure to remove pornography and overly explicit erotica. There is a lot of such content on VK, and viewing it is not prohibited, but if you keep it on your site, you may be charged with distributing pornography - there is such an article in the Criminal Code.

Go through your list of conversations and remember with whom you discussed something “forbidden”: politics, religion, history, drugs, sex, violence. Delete the parts of conversations in which you wrote the most honest thoughts. Ask your interlocutors to do the same (it’s not a fact that they will agree, but still).

Log out of all groups sharing the content mentioned above. Unfriend and ban anyone who posts something like this (especially if they share it with you via private messages). Leave all chats where something like this is being discussed. Clear bookmarks of groups and people who may be suspected of extremism.

VKontakte does not allow you to immediately delete all content posted by a user and erase everything that would remind you of his presence on the social network. After deleting your account, only what you store on your page will be lost, and then only partially. Search will still be able to find your uploaded videos, audio recordings, and public documents. In addition, your photos and correspondence will be saved on VKontakte servers. The comments you left will not disappear anywhere, only the link to you will lead to an empty profile.

It is impossible to completely delete all your traces on VK, especially if you actively used the social network. However, there are scripts and browser extensions that can be used to get rid of certain content with a few clicks.

ViKey Zen allows you to quickly clear the wall of all entries, as well as delete all dialogs, including sent files.

You can only bulk delete photos that you added to albums you created. To quickly get rid of pictures in the “Saved Photos” and “Photos on My Wall” sections, you need to go to editing mode, click “Select all photos”, and then “Delete”.

To delete audio recordings, open the “Music” section in your browser, scroll the list of tracks to the very end, right-click, select “View Code” and paste the following script into the Console section:

javascript:(function(){var a = document.getElementsByClassName("audio"); i=0;inter=setInterval(function(){Audio.deleteAudio(a[i++].childNodes[1].name);if( i>a.length)clearInterval(inter)},500); })()
