How to unblock an account, VKontakte page without a phone number

Why was the VKontakte page blocked? For what? And for how long?

Your VKontakte page has been frozen.
Why? For what? There is always a reason; without it, no one is blocked. It may be unexpected for you, because you didn’t do anything wrong. But the reason and duration of blocking are always indicated on your page if you enter it through the full version of the site. For example, through a browser on a computer. But this is not visible through the VK application. Logging into a page means not just opening it, but entering the login and password for the frozen page. This is the only way you can find out for how long and why it was blocked.

The reason may be given as follows: “This page was frozen for sending such personal messages on your behalf...” or “Spammers used your page for mass entry into groups for the purpose of advertising and promoting these groups.” What does this mean? You didn't care about your safety on VKontakte. The attackers gained access to your password (popularly called “hacked”) and used your page: they sent spam or joined groups to increase the number of participants. There is no other way to stop this than to block you and force you to change your password.

If you yourself joined a group on a task for which you were promised something, or gave likes (for example, through VkTarget), or voluntarily participated in some other kind of cheating, it’s your own fault. This is prohibited and people are frozen for it. You could also be blocked for sending unwanted messages or advertising (someone complained about you). Of course, attackers who intercepted your password could have done this instead of you. Please note that next time the blocking period will increase or you will be blocked forever.

Unblock by phone number

There are several ways to unlock, but the easiest and fastest is by phone number:

  • go to the authorization page;
  • in the field provided, enter your phone number to which the page was registered;
  • Under the number field there is a button to receive the code, click on it;
  • in a few seconds you will receive an SMS with an authorization code on your phone;
  • enter the code and click send;
  • after which you will be prompted to create a new password to log into your account.

What to do if blocked?

The page itself will not unlock. What exactly needs to be done to restore access is written in the same place where you were informed about the blocking. The period for which you were blocked is also indicated there. If you don’t see this from your phone, log in through the full version of VK:

  • How to access your page through the full version of the VKontakte website

How can I find out the reason and duration of blocking? If you don’t see them and think that they weren’t shown to you, log into the frozen page with your username and password through the full version of VK - then you’ll see.

Do not register a new page for the same number! You will not be able to restore access to the one that was frozen (or it will be difficult).

If your page was not hacked, but simply frozen for violating the rules, log in to it with your username and password. Follow the instructions that the site will give you, and you will unfreeze the page.

Unblock without phone number

There are two ways:

  1. Restoring a SIM card. If the SIM card is registered to you or your loved one, then you need to contact the communication store and ask to restore access to the card. It is not very expensive and the process happens quite quickly. Then, on the Vkontakte website, request restoration of access via SMS, and subsequently change your phone number;
  2. Application for VKontakte account restoration. This method is only possible if your page contains your details (first name, last name and profile photo):
  • go to the account recovery page;
  • go to the point where the code is sent via SMS;
  • click I don’t have access to the number;
  • In the window that opens, enter your ID. How to find your ID? The ID is in the search bar when you go to your page;
  • check whether the site has correctly identified the required page;
  • if everything is correct you will need to enter your number that you are using now;
  • Often one phone is not enough to unlock, so you will be required to provide a photo in the background of the application. The main thing is that everything is clearly visible. No interference or blur;
  • photo of the document (passport scan or just take a photo in good lighting);
  • comment (indicate the reason and time when the page was blocked).

After these steps, click on “Submit Application”. You will receive a code and a link to the application so that you can always see the status of the application (approved or not).

What should I do if the page is hacked and blocked, I can’t log in?

If the page was hacked, then most likely the attackers changed the password and you can no longer log in. If you are using VK from a computer, you need to check your computer with an antivirus (if malware remains, you will be hacked again) and restore access (that is, unblock it).

How can I restore access and change my password if I can’t log in? It's all written here:

  • Restoring access to VKontakte

To unlock, you need a phone number linked to the page. If you no longer have this number, look here:

  • Restoring access if the phone number no longer exists

Could a virus be the reason why the VK (VKontakte) page was blocked?

If, when trying to log into your account, you suddenly find out that your Contact page is blocked, how to unblock it will be the first question that arises. However, under no circumstances send any money to anyone when trying to unlock it, because there is a very high probability that this is one of the scammers’ tricks to steal your funds.

So, you can't log into your account. Here's what you need to do first:

  • Try logging into your account from another device, such as a phone or a friend's computer. If everything works, it means there is a virus on your device.
  • Take a close look at the page blocking your access to VK - if there is a requirement to transfer money somewhere or send SMS to any number, then there is a virus on your device. The site administration never requires payment for such services.

If you are convinced that the problem is a virus, it’s time to clean your device from it. Surely your phone or computer has built-in antivirus programs - use them by running a deep cleaning. Also, there are special extensions for the computer that will help unblock access to VKontakte, OK, and so on, by destroying a virus that blocks access to a social network, for example, VKontakte Unloock.

How to unlock a page from your phone through the application?

On your phone you see the message “Your page is blocked” or “Error. Your account is blocked." In this case, we advise you not to try to do anything from your phone, but to sit down at a normal computer, laptop, or at least take a tablet (but open not the application, but the full version of the site), and unlock the page from it. See the link to the instructions above.

Also, in the future, it wouldn’t hurt to learn at least about basic safety measures. Anyone who follows them does not have similar problems: VKontakte Security.

If you have been hacked, you need to act quickly. Fraudsters may ask your friends to borrow money on your behalf. Here are instructions on what to do when you are hacked: What to do if your VKontakte page is hacked.

To log into Contact, we recommend that you always use the “Login” start page (VHOD.RU) - this will help you avoid ending up on fraudulent sites, and the login process itself will be easy and fast. Login has been helping people since 2010.

For beginners about the Internet

Social media is evil. Definitely. Yes, so angrily, for starters)))))).

And yet I am also present in them and use them. Like I listen to music on VKontakete))) And, accordingly, I periodically catch all sorts of nasty things aimed at extracting money from inexperienced users. For example, blocking Odnoklassniki sites or, already mentioned, VKontakte. Yes, yes, this happens to me too...

.

True, the last time, the sites of these social networks began to fall apart for me and simply did not work. The content (i.e. content) of the pages was arranged in a column on the left side of the browser page with blue text. The structure of the pages was completely disrupted and it was impossible to use social media services. Moreover, in all browsers for browsing the Internet that were installed on the computer. And this had to be dealt with somehow.

At first, I thought that I had simply switched this site to the mode of displaying the user’s style. After all, such a display of pages may be for this reason. I tried to return the display to author mode. In the Opera browser, this is done through the top menu and then: “View-Style-Author Mode”. Naturally, it didn’t help.

Then, using an online search, I discovered that many users of the social networks VK and Odnoklassniki have similar problems. People on their own computer cannot log into Odnoklassniki or Contact, but on others they can. That is, the problem is not in the sites, but in your computer. The same picture applies to the blocking of these social network sites.

Blocking usually refers to a situation where, after entering data to log into your page on Odnoklassniki, a window appears with a message about blocking your account and the possibility of unblocking it with a paid SMS to a short number. By the way, you can read about the cost of SMS messages to short numbers in one of my old, but still quite relevant articles here. Naturally, you should not send this SMS. Read below what to do in this case.

Actually, the whole point is stated in the title of the subsection. As it turned out, both problems, both with access to Odnoklassniki and VKontakte, and the incorrect display of their sites, have the same reason. Well, at least in the cases that I personally encountered.

Malicious software has modified the “Hosts” file, which is located in the “WINDOWS” system folder, and is responsible for matching the website’s digital address (its IP) to its letter name. To be precise, the file is located at the address “C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts” if the system is installed on the “C:\” drive. And its location on the computer is the same for both Windows 7 and Windows XP. First, go to the “etc” folder. There are two ways.

First. Just open any folder on your computer and enter “C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc” in the address bar and then press the “Enter” key. This folder should open.

The second option involves sequential actions.

  • Click on “START”
  • Then to “My Computer” (“Computer” for Windows 7).
  • Then go to the system drive “C:\”.
  • There, find the “WINDOWS” folder
  • In it there is a folder “System32”
  • Next, open the “drivers” folder
  • And then open the “etc” folder

This folder should contain the following files: “hosts”, “lmhosts.sam”, “networks”, “protocol”, “services”. There shouldn't be any other files there, even with similar names. For example, “hosts.txt”, “hosts.bak” and so on. And the “hosts” file should not have any extension!

A small note. If no one has ever logged into the system drive “C” before, then a message may appear at the entrance stating that this is the system partition of the hard drive and working in it carries a risk of harming the operating system. You will need to allow the “C” drive to open.

If you do not see the “hosts” file in the “etc” folder, then most likely it is hidden. Therefore, you need to go through the top menu of the Windows window: “Tools” menu – click “Folder Options” – “View” tab – look at the “Advanced options” section – find and o. All files should now appear in the folder. First, we delete all files that have at least something written after the word “hosts”. They shouldn't be there. But don't delete the "lmhosts.sam" file!

Now change the display of files in the folder to a table view (menu “View” - “Table”). This is necessary in order to see file sizes and modification dates. A sure sign that there are changes in the “hosts” file is when its creation date differs from other files and when its size differs from “1KB” in any direction. Next you need to be able to make changes to the “hosts” file. To do this, right-click on it and then select “Properties”. In the window that appears, in the “General” tab at the bottom next to the word attributes, uncheck the box (if any) next to the phrase “Read only” and click “OK”.

Now let's start opening, checking and editing the “hosts” file itself. When you start the “hosts” file, a window will appear asking you to select a program to open it. Select Notepad or WordPad Text Editor. Which one is more convenient for you? The text file “hosts” will open. It should contain the following entry:

# (C) Microsoft Corp. 1993-1999 # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
# # This file contains mappings of IP addresses to hostnames. # Each element must be on a separate line. The IP address should # be in the first column, followed by the appropriate name. # The IP address and hostname must be separated by at least one space. # # In addition, some lines may include comments # (such as this line), they must follow the node name and are separated # from it by a '#' character. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # origin server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # client host x 127.0.0.1 localhost

There shouldn't be anything else there. In general, the only entry that is required there is: “127.0.0.1 localhost”. If there is anything below, especially indicating the addresses of sites to which you have lost access, it needs to be deleted. Select the excess and click “Delete”. Then save the file (File - Save). Restart your computer and try logging into your favorite social network VKontakte or Odnoklassniki. Everything should work.

Naturally, do not forget to scan your computer for viruses with an antivirus program like Avast or the free utility “Dr.Web CureIt!”

In Seven, it happens that a file is hidden and must first be made visible and then deleted.

To display all files in the V7 system:

  • Click sequentially: Start - Control Panel - Appearance and Personalization - Folder Options.
  • Click “Show hidden files and folders” - The “View” Tab will open
  • Scroll in the “Advanced options” window to “Hidden files and folders”
  • Check the box for “Show hidden files, folders and drives” - Click OK

Next, go to the WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc/hosts folder and look at the hidden hosts file. It will be translucent. Most likely, it will be problematic to remove it and the system will ask for administrator rights. For some reason...

If you can’t remove it directly, then download the free Unlocker program, install it and remove it with it. Now we move the cursor over the translucent hosts folder, right-click, select the “Unlocker” line in the menu, and left-click on it. The Unlocker program window will appear. Next, in “Unlocker”, select the “Delete” action.

After this, you don’t even have to create a new hosts file - it will be created later. Reboot your computer. It should help.

I came across a case where there were two “hosts” files in the “etc” folder. But one was completely empty, and the other had changes made by the malware. In this case, you need to delete the unnecessary ones, and in the remaining one, add only the entry “127.0.0.1 localhost”. Or delete both and create a new text file using Notepad, into which enter the above text or text from the Windows website. Naturally, it should be called “hosts” and NOT have an extension like “.txt”.

It may also be that at first glance there is nothing superfluous in the “hosts” file, but the extra entries are added far down the document. In this case, a scroll bar will appear on the side. Also delete unnecessary entries.

That's all. Congratulations to those who managed to master this opus. I hope everything works out for you and I gave the answer to the sacramental question: “I can’t log into VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. What to do?"

Video review “Blocked by Odnoklassniki and VKontakte” :

Below in the video review there is a solution to the problem when the Odnoklassniki and VKontakte website does not work correctly, namely: the page loads on the left in blue font. This can also help when access is blocked and it says in the window that the account is blocked and you need to send a paid SMS.

How do you know for sure that a page is blocked?

On the blocked page you see something like this:

We detected suspicious activity on Tanya’s page and temporarily froze it in order to take it out of the hands of attackers. If you have the opportunity to contact Tanya, let her know that her page is safe, but needs to be defrosted.

Or this:

The page was blocked due to user complaints. It may have been hacked.

If you read this carefully, you should understand that nothing happened to the page, it was not deleted. It’s just that all actions on it are suspended until the blocking period passes and the owner of the page restores access (that is, you).

But if you just go to someone’s page and see “The user has restricted access to their page” or you can’t write to the person in a personal message, then this is completely different. Read about it here: How to understand that you have been blocked (blacklisted) on VKontakte.

What to do if your VK page has been blocked forever?

This may happen for the following reasons:

  • serious violations related to calls for nationalism, terrorism, suicide, drug addiction and alcoholism, racism, and so on;
  • refusal to comply with network rules;
  • The user received temporary account blocking several times.

The chances that the page will be unblocked are close to zero, but you can try. To do this, follow the link “contact Support” and describe your problem. If you abused the rules, please state the reasons. You can promise to change your behavior regarding online activity. But such explanations are unlikely to help.

If you did not break the rules, but the page was blocked forever, the chances of regaining access are much greater. To do this, explain the situation and indicate that you did not violate the rules for using the VKontakte network. The administration will analyze the history of logins to the page, and if suspicious IP addresses are noticed, access to the page will be returned, and you will be asked to take care of the security of your profile.

You can unblock a page on VK in almost any situation. The only thing that will not work is to return access before the specified time if the page is frozen for a certain period. Also, it may not be given in case of serious violations, blocking the user forever. The main thing is that if problems arise, contact the network administration, describing the problem in detail. It is recommended to communicate with specialists politely, since it depends on them whether you will receive access. But if you succeed in unblocking the page, you need to be more careful, since next time it will be almost impossible to achieve this.

When the page is unblocked, will everything on it remain as it was?

Yes, everything on the page will remain as it was, nothing will disappear or change. But keep in mind that if a hacker was in charge of your page before it was blocked, he could have deleted or changed something. In any case, you will have to draw conclusions from what happened and no longer find yourself in a situation where your page has to be blocked.

If a hacker deleted your photos, you will have to restore them through the support service - How to recover a deleted VKontakte photo (read to the end).

If the page is blocked due to complaints

As you probably know, you can complain about any user’s page to the VKontakte administration. And if the claims are true, the user’s page may be blocked. You can see more about this here - how to block a page in a contact.

There can be two options here - you are blocked for a while, as a warning. That's half the trouble. We simply wait for the specified period and restore the page using an SMS code.

But if you maliciously violated the rules of a social network, you can get an eternal ban.

No methods will help here. You will no longer be able to restore this page.

How can I find out who blocked my page?

Your page has been blocked (frozen) by the VKontakte administration. They themselves could have noticed that your page violates the rules, or one of the other users could have suggested this to them through the “Complain” function. There's no way for you to know. It’s better to read the rules for using the VK website and don’t violate them again.

If you have a different case - you go to a person’s page and see “The user has restricted access to his page,” then this means that he simply added you to his blacklist. Read this: How to understand that you have been blacklisted on VKontakte.

Is it possible to bypass the blacklist?

In fact, some time ago there was an easy way to get off the blacklist. To do this, the blocking user had to send a special link. Walking along it, he, without knowing it, removed all the blockages from the person. Now the developers have sorted out this gap, and the method has stopped working. Therefore, there are currently no working ways to unblock VKontakte yourself.

Where to complain about blocking of a VKontakte page?

There is no point in complaining and there is no point in it. By registering on the VKontakte website, you agreed with its rules (without this it is impossible to create a page). The rules clearly state that you are fully responsible for the safety of your username and password. Even if your page was blocked due to “hacking”, it is your fault - you were inattentive to security. If you don't understand how your password was stolen, a computer specialist can explain it to you. There is no use arguing with something you have already agreed to.
