However, this is not a link leading to the VKontakte website - pay attention to the spelling. So be careful, check the addresses of links and email addresses from which mail comes.
- Never confirm your password and login unless necessary. For example, I know for sure that I have the correct email address, login and password. However, I received a letter saying that I urgently need to confirm your username and password by following the link. A thorough examination of the link address revealed that it was a phishing site. Be careful and do not show your username and password everywhere. If you have a normal username and password, then you have nothing to fear and do not need to confirm it all the time.
- Pay attention to your answer to the security question, which is needed to recover your email address. This is usually a very easy answer, like your mother's maiden name. However, those who know you even a little may know your secret question and answer. Therefore, provide a truly question to which only you know the answer.
- Do not leave your phone numbers on the VKontakte page - this is another way to get the necessary information from you.
- Store your cookies. These files are needed to store text data in the browser that you enter on various pages, including the VKontakte page. It’s better to uncheck the box to remember the password and enter it every time - in this case, the password will not be recorded in cookies. How can cookies get from your computer to criminals? Yes, it’s elementary - through unfamiliar programs and scripts downloaded from dubious sources, and they can also be stolen by Trojans.
- Use antivirus software from time to time. Check your computer first of all for Trojans. Timely destruction of viruses will help keep your page intact.
- It should be remembered that there is no panacea for hacking.
