School chats have become a real headache for teachers and educators. For each class, garden group, circle and section there is at least one chat. If parent chats were only a source of important information and announcements related to studies, no one would have any complaints about this convenient form of communication. But in the chats they also swear, gossip, congratulate you on Builder’s Day, sell old fur coats, send funny pictures and GIFs, share recipes for jam and fighting the runny nose... And all this is mixed with analyzing homework assignments, choosing a gift for the teacher, collecting money for household chemicals, etc.
As a result, some parents are disconnected from parent chats as a source of information noise, others - due to the inappropriate behavior of some interlocutors. Since childhood, we have well learned the rules of etiquette at the table, but we were not taught the ethics of communication in parental chats: our parents lived without them. But if parents took into account some simple rules when communicating in parent chat, everyone would benefit.
